Chapter One

What is Transformation?

Transformation is the single most important element in this book. In order to sustain the following chapters, the term must be defined and vetted to insure a proper investigation into transformation. A simple definition from Marriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, tenth edition,is this: “to change in composition or structure.” This definition also includes cellular or genetic changes. One of the definitions I would like to introduce is that of molecular change, which occurs when one molecular form changes to another. In Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical words, the word “transfigure” (metamorphoo) means “to change from one form to another.” I must show this concept so we may apply it to other concepts about the earth and what happened concerning transformation before and after the Flood. I will be taking events from the Old Testament and the New Testament to show this transformation. These examples will demonstrate the possibilities of a different world and how we must fight against evil.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

—John 1:1–2

Original transformation is what we call creation. Therefore, the Word created all that was created out of nothing (ex nihilo). Therefore, I’m calling this “original transformation,” meaning it took place out of nothing, creating the vast plant and animal kingdoms and finally man and woman. Adam was a transformation, in that God fashioned him from dirt, so when man become a living soul, he literally changed from the molecular structure of dirt (earth) into the molecular structure of a human being with blood, guts, and everything else. The earth has the power of regeneration and generated and transformed that power into Adam. The Word transformed nothing into everything. So, we see this one example of transformation. Next, we should look at what the Holy Bible says about Jesus’ transfiguration.

To “transfigure” (metamorphoo) means “to change into another form.” Matthew’s account tells the story:

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart. And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light, an behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

—Matthew 17:1–3, 5
